Oh hello…meet my new obsession, Greek Yogurt Bites with Crushed Hazelnuts, Wild Blueberries + Kiwi 🙂 This mouth-watering organic and all natural snack or even dessert can be put together in under 10 minutes. You can honestly use any of your favorite dried or fresh fruits and nuts. The particular combo I chose for this recipe happens to be one of my absolute favorites. I just really love incorporating blueberries and hazelnuts, especially during this time of year. The base of the snack is greek yogurt with a touch of honey, simply an amazing duo. It contains only natural, organic ingredients and it’s low in natural sugars.
I recently bought these little baby potatoes from the farmers market and love discovering new and tasty ways to use them. Typically I like to throw them in stews or pot roasts because they take close to zero prep work. They’re so small all you have to do is rinse and toss them into whatever dish your making. No peeling or tons of chopping needed. So I thought, why not make them into a savory snack?
Do you like healthy snacks that are super easy to make? Perfect, so do I… which is why I LOVE this simple and tasty recipe. When roasted, delicata squash turns into chewy amazing-ness. The flavor is slightly sweet and salty, satisfying that need for a quick and healthy bite. It’s also a great appetizer option that doesn’t add-on a ton of time to your overall menu. I like to pair them with a spicy yogurt aioli, which also takes seconds to whip up. Delicata is a lovely winter squash, one that I try to eat a lot of while they’re in season.
Look at these gorgeous artichokes! I picked them up at the farmers market this past weekend and wanted to share a very delicious and healthy way to eat them. To cook the artichokes, it’s a one pot deal, making it easy for a nice bite or to include with dinner. What I love is that these spiky green veggies pack a ton of nutritional value. They are a rich source of fiber, vitamins and minerals which are wonderful for your body. Artichokes contain vitamin C, K, folate and provide minerals such as calcium, potassium, zinc and many beneficial others. This helps contribute to building strong bones, a healthy immune system and helpful for skin wellness. This recipe is not only tasty, it’s really good for you!
This snack bar is honestly so simple to put together and the best part is that you know exactly what’s in it. For me, it became a bit of a chore to find snack bars that didn’t have either added sugars, way too much protein, preservatives or not so good for you additives. The dried fruit creates a wonderful chewy yet light texture with a subtly sweet tang. The only sugars in this snack are from the natural dried fruit, nothing else… how lovely. Continue Reading
